Tencent launched its first themed 5k fun-run based on a Tencent game, and invited gamer & celebrity spokesperson Chen Weiting and Chinese flying man Zhang Peimeng to compete live, bringing the event to its climax. The run was staged in an area where the original set within the game was restored, with elements of Runningcool (Tencent Game 天天酷跑) incorporated into the run to create an interactive experience. The set also staged a cosplay show, which allowed players and celebrities alike to run in style. The run was broadcasted live online through multiple entertainment dimensions to create a carnival-like gaming experience. Online players and fans were thus able to feel the passion as if they were watching it live. Apart from a fun-run option, there was also a marathon option available to cater to the needs of different audiences.
